Intro The Global Strategic Plan (GSP) of TWR has rightly recognised the importance of Leadership Development as one of the major needs in the world today and that Christian organizations definitely need to develop their leaders. As the church grows around the world and leaders emerge to take the church forward one of the great needs then is to equip these new leaders to lead well……
Vision The vision of this initiative is to centrally engage with the Leadership Development aspect of the GSP and to provide programmes or segments of training that can be aired by radio and other media sources in such a way that over time the listener can increase their ability to lead effectively. The segments of training will be provided in an order that aids the listener to systematically learn to lead. The philosophy of this training is based on a Christ like approach to leadership known to most as Servant Leadership. This dynamic approach has been delivered to Christians and non-Christians around the world with dramatic positive results.
Strategy The approach suggested to achieve the above vision is to produce material that has been tried and tested around the world in segments and to deliver these in many and varied forms including translation and print. The concept includes the possibility of providing conferences in different countries around the world and printed materials (e.g. workbooks) as well as DVD’s, etc., to back up and extend the learning curve provided by the recorded segments. (Since coaching is an important feature of learning to lead, initiatives will be researched and where possible provided to enable the learner to also experience coaching. This will be an aim and will be a second phase in this plan.)
Concept The above vision and strategy represents a partnership approach between TWR/MCM and Claybury Int. Claybury will be responsible for syllabus, content and materials alongside helping to develop this strategic plan. |
